From the Struggle Bus to the Pain Train

I have been a little MIA as of late. I think my workaholic tendencies have caught up with me and the universe is forcing me to rest. First, walking pneumonia in early February then right into a month long battle with sciatica. I'm a little afraid the back pain will sideline my next travel trip and so I am doing all the things the doctors are telling me and taking all the drugs they prescribe and even resting in an effort to fix this. It is draining.

I also struggle with Psoriasis, an autoimmune disease that basically makes your skin cells replicate and die too rapidly. I purchased this to try to fight the battle at home. It's a narrowband UVB light. The idea is to sunburn your affected areas to stop the cell replication. So basically you are trying to sunburn an open wound, not too much because it will hurt like hell and possibly give you skin cancer, but just the right amount so it makes your sores heal. SO. MUCH. FUN.

Big News! Better than Before is becoming an Audiobook.

I contracted with Lindsey Arellano again to read the sequel so both audiobooks have the same narrator. Not sure of the release date yet, but sometime this year both books will be available on audio. Really excited to hear her breathe life into the characters.

Life After Death with Tyler Henry. After you get past the realization that he is Macaulay Culkin's doppleganger, you fall in love with this guy. This series is blowing me away. It is hard to doubt his ability to communicate with people that have passed on. It makes you think about the burning question, What happens after you die?

When Wren Came Out is at 65% written, yesterday I had to push myself to hit a big word goal. 5000 in a day. It took everything I had to stay on track and 8 hours later, I finally got there. Going to try to do 8 sprints today and see where I land, but I can feel the deadline looming. It's ridiculous, but when I have a deadline, I procrastinate on the book that I am actually supposed to be working on. (The one that is up for preorder.) Instead, I find myself working on the other ones that have no deadline. Do you play these little mind games with yourself too? Or am I the only weirdo?

P.S. If you've read one of my books, can you help a struggling new author out? Reviews are gold and help me reach more people. Please take a minute and tell me (and other readers) what you thought. You can review on Amazon, Goodreads, Barnes and Noble, KOBO, and Apple Books or at any other bookseller. It's even better if you copy and paste the review to multiple places. More reviews=More visibility. You can write as much or as little as you want and I would be forever in your debt.
