The Push by Ashley Audrain

I read this one Mother's Day weekend and couldn't put it down. Click the cover to read a preview now.

Not surprisingly it has made the Best of 2021 (so far) list. It is a raw glimpse into motherhood touched by mental illness and I was riveted. If you want and easy breezy beach read, this ain't it. But if you want a story that sticks with you and challenges your perception of motherhood, this is right up your alley. It reads like a thriller and takes you on an emotional roller coaster. Someday I hope I write something half as compelling.
